16.8.2009 - Gardemeister second fastest in Finnish Race of Stars

Narrow street circuit offered lots of entertainment for audience at Finnish Race of Stars event which was driven in Porvoo.

There were lots of action and f.ex impacts to concrete walls like Jyrki Järvilehto who crashed his Legends just before finish line.

Also Toni Gardemeister had a big moment when having problems with brakes. Due that reason he crashed his BMW car in second corner. Besides the crash he enjoyed a lot of the event and the circuit.

- From the start the circuit felt a bit strange but the more I drove the more it get funnier. And definitely it was a very pleasant to have a drive after a long break, told Gardemeister who currently is without any seat in rallying world..

There are no manufacturer seats available.

- To get a seat I would have to buy it and that is complitely wrong in this world, told highly experienced rally driver.

14.8.2009 - Gardemeister takes part in Stars event at Porvoo

Finnish Race of Porvoo is to be driven on street circuit which is located in South-Finland. There's also a Stars event to be driven and it includes lots of motorsport stars. The idea of the event is nearly same as in traditional Race of Champions event: The drivers race against the clock with three cars and naturally the winner is the one whose overall time is the best.

Mika Häkkinen, Toni Gardemeister, Marcus Grönholm, Sebastian Lindholm, Emma Kimiläinen, Jyrki Järvilehti, Mikko Hirvonen, Mikko Eskelinen and Matti Rantanen takes part for the event. Unfortunately there are no foreign motorsport starts taking part for the event.

Drivers race with Legends, BMW XTreme and Ford Fiesta cars and the event is to be driven at Sarday 15th August 2009.
